URBANA - John "Jack" William Moody Sr., age 84 of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Nov. 7, 2022. He was born on March 16, 1938 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Edgar and Carrie Pearl (Eubank) Moody. Jack is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Gabrielle (Caudill) Moody, son, John (Marcy) Moody Jr., daughter, Lisa (Mike) Kachelries, grandchildren: Eric Fiorini, Shawn Kachelries, and Lynette Kachelries, great-grandchildren: Blaze, Joslyn, Ryder, Sawyer, Malakhi, Payzlee, and Nicco, and brothers: Mark, Harold, and Jonathan Moody. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Harmony Hospice for their compassionate care over Jack.
Jack was a 1958 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. In his free time, Jack enjoyed doing anything outdoors. Golfing, bowling, fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening were among some of his favorite hobbies. Jack worked at Honeywell for over 30 years as a group leader until his retirement.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. at the WALTER AND LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022 beginning at 11 a.m., officiated by Pastor Jim Baldwin. Jack will be laid to rest at Oak Dale Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harmony Hospice in Jack's honor.
