Staunton - John Pender Nance, 69, of Staunton, VA, passed away on August 17, 2025. John was born on November 27, 1955 in Staunton, VA, the son of the late Thomas and Maxine Nance. John owned and operated Nance Pest Control for over 40 years before retiring.

John is survived by his wife, Betty Nance; Children Tammy Carter and Tommy Nance, their families and grandchildren. John is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Nance, Ronald Nance, Donna Snyder, and David Nance. John is proceeded in death by his sister Annette Moats.

John was a avid racing fan, enjoyed fishing with his son and grandchildren and rarely was seen without his beloved companion Ruger.

Family and Friends are warmly invited to attend a Memorial Service celebrating John's life on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11:00am at Victory Worship Center, 200 Hammond Lane, Staunton Virginia. The family has entrusted John's care to Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg, PA. Online condolences can be made at www.kelso-corneliusfuneralhome.com.
