JOHN NEEDHAM Obituary
Age 82, of South Park, peacefully at home on Friday, June 6, 2014. John was born in Pittsburgh, the son of the late John and Mary Blanche (Shanahan) Needham; beloved husband of the late Catherine E. Needham (Stack); beloved father of John P. Needham, Donald M. Needham (Sheri), Patricia M. Greer, Daniel T. Needham, and Linda T. Wilson (Daniel); brother of Patricia Remick (Mark) and the late Michael Needham and Arlene Firestone; beloved grandfather of Arlo, Ryan, Brandon, Christine, Corey, Erin, Lindsey, Connor, Michael, Caitlyn, Alyssa, and Katherine; great- grandfather of Arlo ll, Ronan, and Cameron. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Proud graduate of Munhall High School class of 1950, a member of United States Army serving as Military police. He retired from Schneider Dairy in 1991. Jack's biggest passion next to his family was horseshoes. He was a sanctioned member of W.PA National Horseshoe Pitcher Assoc., Dormont Horseshoe Club, and helped to create Horseshoe of Pittsburgh Enterprises (H.O.P.E). Friends will be received on Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at PAUL L. HENNEY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 5570 Library Rd., Bethel Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, 10 a.m., at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to H.O.P.E, 195 Baldwin Road, Carnegie, PA 15106.

wish i would have shared how much all of my memories of your dad (and mom) meant to me. Love to each and every one of you who will carry on their legacy. such a force to be reckoned with on helen street. :) i won't be able to pass by a can of creamed corn or hear the clank of a horseshoe without smiling as i remember him. praying for all of you!
