He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Irene Re; his brother Gerry Re and sister-in-law Joyce Re; his sister Amy Re; his brother Lenny Re (survived by his wife Deidre); and his son-in-law Kwamena Robertson. John also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will remember him with love and gratitude.

A private family interment service will be held at a later date when John is laid to rest alongside his parents and siblings at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Cincinnati, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hamilton County Ohio Special Olympics, 11069 Reading Rd. PO Box # 62743, Cincinnati, OH 45262.

Dad, I miss you every day just sitting here thinking about you waiting for that phone call from you. I don´t go a day without thinking of you. The whole family showed up to your celebration of life. We were hugged and we loved on and we were supported. We shared memories together of the time we had with you we shed tears. We had some laughter. I wish I could pick up the phone and call you and tell you how my day was or even just talk sports We laid you to rest with Aunt,Adrian so you can look upon and see grandma grandpa Jerry, and Amy you are back in Ohio Cincinnati you get the smell of that Cincinnati chili in the air. I hope you´re enjoying it up there. I love you and miss you, James.
