Scott Whigham

John "Scott" Whigham, born Nov. 27, 1963, died Sept. 27, 2021.

Scott was a beloved father, husband, son, brother and friend to all who knew him. He had a quiet strength and faith in God that he lived out daily. He was a lover of music, automobiles, photography and politics. He loved to spend time with his family, and take his son, Quinn, on photo shoots and encouraged their mutual love of movies. He was a father who wanted his son to see life as a gift and to experience the grace of God in every aspect.

Scott held an associate degree in nursing from College of Coastal Georgia. He was a truly kind and compassionate nurse and his tender care of others and his heart were manifestations of that. His true passion was photography, and he held a bachelor's degree in photography from Nossi College of Art in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a talented photographer who used his skills and artistry to capture memories and moments for his clients and all those for whom he cared and loved.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Col. John Whigham of Dublin, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Whigham; and son, Quinn Whigham, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee. He is also survived by his mother, Joan Derry; brother, Jeff Whigham; and nephews, Jeffery and Brighton Whigham, of Brunswick, Georgia. He is also survived by his stepmother, Dr. Rebecca Whigham of Dublin, Georgia.

The memorial service and celebration of life for Scott will be from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, preceded by a visitation from noon to 2 p.m. the same day.

Following the service, a private burial will be held at Forest Lawn for family and close friends.

Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens Goodlettsville, Tennessee, is in charge of the arrangements.
