OTTUMWA— Johnny R. Spicer, 28, of 501 S. Maple, Creston, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 12:58 a.m. Nov. 4, 2008, at the Greater Medical Center in Creston.He was born Feb. 20, 1980 in Clarksville, Tenn. to Johnny and Mary Latham Spicer Sr. He married Crystal Englund Jan. 22, 2003.A resident of Creston for the past five years, he worked construction and owned and operated Spicer Roofing.Surviving is his wife; five children, Kaylie, Jeslynn, and Owen all of Ottumwa, Katilynn and Johnny Jr. of Creston; a stepson, Skyler Englund of Creston; his parents, Terry and Mary Wilson of Ottumwa; grandparents, Bill and Lucille Latham of Ottumwa and Audrey Wilson of Bloomfield; two brothers, Billy Ray Groves and Tommy Lee Spicer both of Ottumwa; a stepbrother, Todd Wilson of Ottumwa.He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Spicer Sr.; and grandmother, June Spicer.His body has been cremated and memorial services will be held at a later date.Memorials may be made to the family.Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Obituary may be viewed at: www.legacy.com/ottumwacourier/Obituaries.asp
