Jordan HAWES Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 15, 2016.
Jordan Fredrick Lorne Hawes - December 03, 1975 to April 12, 2016

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jordan Fredrick Lorne Hawes announces his passing on April 12, 2016.
Jordan was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Jordan will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborah Hawes, his daughter, Ashlynne Hawes, his son, Cole McDonald (mother Crystal). Also mourning his loss are his mother, Dana Switzer (Phil), his father, Warren Hawes (Annie) of Calgary, his beloved sisters, Danielle Hawes (Kumari) of Yellowknife, NT, Tori Elise Hawes and Laine Perizzolo of Alberta, also his special aunts and uncles Pennie and Darrel McNutt of Squamish, Wendy and Jace of Victoria, BC, George Hawes (Marie) and Lynne Hawes of Calgary, Randy Leslie of Lethbridge, AB. and his cousins Daryl Hedin, Maren Walters (Trevor), Daryl Hawes, Calvin Leslie, Brianne Malin, Geoff Hawes (Katrina), Brendon Hawes (Christina) and his grandfather Frederick Switzer (Pat) of Sooke, BC,
He was predeceased by his cousins Devon and Darcy Hedin, his grandparents Lorne, and Barbara Joan Hawes formerly of Calgary, and Lois Switzer, also formerly of Calgary.
Jordan was born and raised in Calgary, AB. He started swimming competitively in 1983 with the University of Calgary Swim Club. He held the Alberta provincial record for 10 to 12-year olds in the 200 meter butterfly in 1987. He won numerous other awards, swimming until 1992.
Jordan was a special big brother to his sister Danielle. As children in Calgary they were best friends, close in age, and inseparable and they continued that lifelong friendship.
Jordan lived in a variety of places in Alberta and BC, settling in Abbotsford and marrying the love of his life Debbie in the summer of 2012. Jordan loved his family and his two children, Cole and Ashlynne. They were his everything. His biggest goal in life was to be a great father. He more than accomplished that goal.
Jordan obtained a Red Seal ticket in 2012 in plumbing. He was a proud fourth generation plumber following in the footsteps of his great grandfather, grandfather, and father along with numerous uncles and cousins.
We will remember not his death, but his daily victories gained through his kindnesses and thoughtfulness, through his love for family and friends, for all things beautiful, lovely and honorable. We will remember the many days that he was victorious over overwhelming odds. We will remember not the years we thought he had left, but the intensity with which he lived the years he had!
We will celebrate your life Jordan...you have left us a legacy of wonderful memories...
Rest in peace, you were loved. ???

No flowers by request. There will be a private family Celebration of Life. Donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Jordan's name. Arrangements under the direction of First Memorial Funeral Services, Aldergrove, BC.

Jordan...as I sit here, and read your obituary, I just can't wrap my head around the fact that this is really true.
I will forever treasure the happy memories we made together! You gave me the most precious gift in the whole world...our beautiful little girl! I will forever have a piece of you in her...so thank you. The love you always showed me was undeniable, and I feel honoured to have felt that kind of love from you! My heart aches for you everyday. I hope you're always watching over, and protecting us! And I truly hope you have found the peace you were so desperately looking for! I love you forever...with all my heart! Missing you terribly!

Jordan over the years I have thought of you, your sister and mom, I am truly sad that our paths never crossed again. The friendship we had will always be in my heart. You gave his family many great memories. Rest in peace. You will alway be with all of us, as you are now the glistens in the soft falling snow, the autumn winds that blow softly and the gentle spring and summer rains. Love ""auntie""Dar

I miss you every day, Jord. You were my brother, the one I looked up to the most, my best friend. I hope you are now resting peacefully and although our lives have been deeply affected by your absence, my love for you will always remain strong. The bond of siblings can never be broken. I love you with all my heart.
