Dear Anita and Berecz Family,
Joe and I had adhered to a time-honored Hungarian trait: "Just a few moments of a meeting could easily qualify as a criterion for a life-long relationship; but with the length of time since we met in 1959, surely this was a most special, many-splendoured friendship that was born, destined to last."
Then, there was our Class of '63. How special we were -- both individually and, especially, collectively. I know because I can still relate to members AND their families, all 42. But the quality of being unique, while applicable to any,
was even more so with Joe -- snd this was mentioned by all who wrote to me.
Joe was easily, memorably, lovingly regarded as a "jewel" amongst us.
His ever-showing amiability, his ready smile, and how he warmed and inspired each of us with whom he so easily related were traits for which he will be profoundly missed AND forever talked about.
As distant as most of us are, we will always remember the love we all share mutually. We can truely imagine what he meant to you, Anita. But I also know with what passion he loved his Family and his "life-long" friends.
