Joseph Rose Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 29, 2024.
Joseph David "Zetro" Rose, age 68, of Wareham, Massachusetts, departed this life on the 25th of July, 2024. Born to the late Arthur Duarte Rose and Angelica Neves Rose in New Bedford, Massachusetts, he was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of New Bedford High School.

Joseph was a man of many passions, with a particular fondness for the bygone eras encapsulated in classic television shows, music, and the joy of traditional games. His musical abilities were showcased in his youth as he played various instruments including the guitar and trumpet, and he was an active participant in the Verdean Vets Drum and Bugle Corp. Additionally, he demonstrated power and strength in athletics through boxing and gymnastics.

A faithful parishioner of Our Lady of The Assumption Church, Joseph's commitment to his faith was unwavering. His devotion will be remembered at a service to be held in his honor at the church where he so dutifully prayed.

Joseph's memory is cherished by his siblings: Gabriel DaRosa and his spouse Candida Santos, Linda Maria Fatima Rose, Arthur Domingo Rose, Jeanette Candida Rose, Steven Anthony Rose, and David Michael Rose. He was a beacon of love and joy to his family and all who knew him.

The Saunders-Dwyer Funeral Home of New Bedford has been entrusted with his final arrangements. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family suggests donations in Joseph's name to charitable organizations dedicated to Diabetes, Mental Health, or Parkinson's research.

Joseph's legacy is one of warmth, compassion, and the indelible impact he made on the hearts of his family and friends. His departure from this world leaves a void that will be felt profoundly, yet his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by his life.
