Joseph Ziolkowski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 9, 2024.
Joseph L. Ziolkowski Jr, 65, of Baltimore, MD, passed away on March 8, 2024. Joe was a hardworking and loyal son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He dedicated over four decades of his life to working for just two companies, Spot-A-Pot and Maryland Portable Restrooms. Joe loved the discipline of working and often worked seven days a week. He cherished spending time with his family and was known to be the first to arrive at any event. Joe was an avid Orioles fan, a casual Ravens fan, and enjoyed playing games of chance like the lottery, slots, bingo, and horse racing. He had a passion for 70's classic rock, Motown, Commodores, and country music, and loved attending live music concerts.

Joe is survived by his children Joseph L. Ziolkowski 3rd, Taylor Ziolkowski, and Matthew Ziolkowski, as well as his grandchildren Joey Ziolkowski, Savannah Ziolkowski, and Nattie Ziolkowski. He is also survived by his sisters Debbie Ray, Linda Beaty, Jackie Crowther, Joanne Ziolkowski, and brother Terry Ziolkowski. His girlfriend Edna Lanahan, and many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his mother Nitza Eaton and father Joseph L. Ziolkowski Sr.

A private memorial service for close family will be held to honor Joe's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Joseph Ziolkowski.

Joe and I were good friends and he would tease Jeff Lukens all the time. He had a wonderful laugh and a good nature always seemed to be working hard at Spot-A-Pot. Our family will miss you but you are probably riding around in a pick up truck with Jeff now.

I'm so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was so funny and always smiling. My dad loved him so much and he quickly became part of our family. Truly a one of a kind! My deepest condolences to you all.

Didn´t know big Joe personally, but heard plenty about him. His son, Joe Z, only had great things to say about him. So a big thanks to big Joe for raising a man I´m proud to call a friend.

I will always remember working with and for Joey . He was a good friend and great to work with. We had a lot of fun together and worked hard a lot. He made Spot- A - Pot a fun place to work most of the time. Thanks for sharing your life with me.

Remember when he first walked into the office and asked for a job-think he was just out of high school! He learned fast, was a hard worker, and became another "family " member! Lots of wonderful memories! I´m so sorry for his family-he should have had more years to share with them! Love you forever, Joey!
