Josephine DiSanto Obituary
She was born in Elkhart, IN on September 23, 1925 to the late John and Mary Colagrossi.
Josephine will always be remembered as the Matriarch of the family. She always stressed the importance of family values, traditions and love to all those she knew. The entire family is thankful for her traditional cooking and her ability as a seamstress was second to none.
Josephine always had a passion for dance and was a dancer in her younger years. In addition, she enjoyed jazzercise for over 20 years and was an avid golfer. She was an amazing woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Raymond DiSanto for 41 years; loving mother of Christine (Allen) Price, Kathryn (Tom) Shumar, Carol (Jim) Jeran, Raymond (Kim) DiSanto, and Robert (Carmen) DiSanto; proud grandmother of Allen (Alison), Joseph, Matthew (Liz), Nick, Adam (Erica), Jason (Sarah), Dina (Jason), Danielle (J.D.), Raymond (Korrie), Sam, and Lexi; cherished great-grandmother of Jimmy, Robbie, Rose, Justin, Camilla, Penelope, Lincoln, Ryleigh, Roman, Dominic, and Gianna; and sister of Louise Colosi, Helen Tomba, Margaret Dzurko, and Leonard (Lois) Colagrossi.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Willowick Drive, Willowick, OH 44095. Burial will occur at All Souls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donation be made, in Josephine's honor, to The Lisa Colagrossi Foundation, P.O. Box 13, Frankenmuth, MI 48734 or lisafoundation.org

I have many fond memories of the Ohio family coming to visit at Grandma Nena's in Elkhart. Josephine was always so sweet and took the time to talk and visit with me. She had such a beautiful smile and twinkle in her eye. She always reminded me so much of Grandma Nena. She was a very special lady. I will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. May the wonderful memories you have of her fill your hearts with joy in the difficult days and months ahead. God bless.

Much loved. Much missed. Please know that the Hutnik family sends our condolences. I will never forget the beautiful senior prom dress she made for me. The Josies are together!!!
We did Jazzercise together and we all had fun with Monday night bowling leagues.

Wonderful friend and neighbor who raised a great family. Next door neighbors back in the 70's. Had some good times with both Jo and Ray. Great italian dinners and Ray's homemade wine. Our thoughts and prayers are sent to family. May she rest in Peace.
