Jenni, I remember Josh in my home many times when he dated my daughter,Leslie, during high school. He was always a joy to be around. One of the best memories I have of him in my home was when he asked me which part of the body was the least often washed or cleaned. I believe he was working nearby at a doctor's office. Turned out it was 'eyelids'. Who would know? I think of him often, as well as you. Hope you are well. Vivian

Jenni
As your friend, Lynn Prater, once told me "You will live". You at first feel you will die from the pain but you will live. Your faith and the love of your family and friends will hold you up and God's love will give you peace. My heart goes out to you, my sweet little cousin.
Love,

We were blessed having Josh as a member of our family. We watched him grow from a little boy to the fine young man that he became. Although we miss him here on earth, we are comforted knowing that one day we will be reunited again. It has been said, what the heart has once known, it shall never forget. Josh's memory lives on in our hearts.

Jenni,
I can remember when Josh was born, even though we were not there to greet him. I remember him because my mother had his picture on her table and talked about him all the time. She was your proud aunt, and she always kept his picture out. You do not realize it, but she kept tabs on you and your family through your mother and Aunt Helen and always relayed all the news to me. I do not know Josh, but I do know what a sweet boy he was. And I know how much you love him. Mike and I will continue to keep you all in our prayers and want you to know how very much we love you. It is a comfort to know he is with the Lord and at peace.

Jenni, It has been such a privilege to share with you the suffferings of Christ. You are precious. Thank you for allowing us to see how Christ is transforming your heart through this difficult circumstance. I did not personally know Josh but I know that He wanted very much to be with His Father. My hope is that you will continue to keep your eyes fixed on Christ and allow Him to walk you through this.
Romans 8:18 "I consider our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Can't wait to see to see the glory and good God will bring from this for you and your family. Love you!

Jenni, I know Josh only through the words you speak of him. They are always words which make me know he was a much loved son. If he was anything like his mother, I know he was full of grace, humility, and kindness. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your family's loss.

Dear Jenni and Lary,
As the year unfolds, may each remembrance of Josh be a blessing and comfort. As we once observed on a skiing trip to Red River, he was such a beloved son. Most cherished friends, we so hope that God's healing touch and support is not only felt, but experienced moment to moment. We hold you in our thoughts and prayers.
Lovingly,

Dear Lary, Jenni and family,
Our hearts ache with you during this time of profound loss. We continue to bring you before the Lord and ask for His grace to carry you through the difficult days ahead. Knowing Josh is with the Lord is sustaining and I know brings great peace. Our prayers are for you...there is no love greater than a parent's love...and no bond quite like a mom and a child...and so it is for you, Jenni that we will continue to pray for strength and peace...and that the memories of Josh's life will be a source of continued blessing...so much so that the sorrow would yield to joy. Jenni, I want to put in writing that as I cried out to the Lord on your behalf, on January 17th, the morning after we heard, and I anguished over you losing your son, the Lord clearly showed me His great parental love for humanity, when He willingly chose to sacrifice His son. Now, this is something I knew already, but for the first time it went straight to my heart and I was able to understand on a profound level exactly what that took on His part and how great His love really is for me! Why do I write this? Because it is part of the beauty that He always brings out of our ashes...Isaiah 61...in praying for you, the Lord touched me and filled a gap I didn't even know was there. In that moment Josh's death touched my life in a beautiful way. I know there is more beauty to come and more stories to be told!
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirits. (Phil. 4:23)
We love you...our home is always open to you if you want to sneak away.

Sweet Jenni and Lary, I know how much Josh meant to both of you. You could tell it in the way you said his name, the loving pictures you show me through the years, the care and concern you poured out to him in the years I've known you. I know he will be greatly missed. I also know he was greatly loved and you did a wonderful job of parenting him, praying for him, enjoying his life. I love you both.

We have many precious memories of Josh. Even as a small boy, we were amazed by his tender heart and kindness to others. Although we are broken hearted that he is not with us, we are thankful that God blessed our family with his life. We will always remember Josh with love, and we look forward to seeing him again some day.

Dearest Jenni, Lary and family, Our hearts have been greatly grieved as we have had the privilege to walk beside you all during this time of heartache. But they have also been incredibly joyful as we have remembered Josh and all the ways he impacted our family for all these years. He was a precious little boy and a charming young man who could always make us smile. His memory is a treasure to us.

I knew Josh even before he was born because I knew his Mom my dear friend Jenni, when we worked together and we awaited his birth. But then I never really knew Josh as a person. I do know that he must have been a wonderful son because his Mom loved him from that day on and will, into eternity. I offer my humble prayer that Josh's family's love for him will live on in wonderful remembrance of all he was in life. God bless and bestow grace and understanding on his family and friends who loved this dear sweet soul gone too soon.

You, Lord, are Josh's...Jenni's and family's Shepherd. They shall not be in want. You make them lie down in green pastures, You lead them beside quiet waters, You restore their soul (a beautiful picture of how the Father will restore!). You guide all of this family in paths of righteouness for Your name's sake. Even though we all walk through the valley of the shadow of death, they will fear no evil, for You, God, are with Josh, Jenni, family, and all who know you Father! (what a sweet Shepherd who deeply cares!); Your rod and Your staff, they comfort those needing comfort. You prepare a table before Jenni and the family in the presence of their enemies (a banquet table prepared with "serving dishes" of peace, comfort, joy, memories of laughter and great love,
thoughts of Josh spending time with his heavenly Father knowing and seeing nothing but love, joy, and laughter with Josh and JESUS!). You annoint their head with oil; their cup overflows (Jenni and the family...your "cup" will overflow with whatever you need for that day because Father God cares, provides, and loves deeply). Surely goodness and love will follow Josh, Jenni and family all the days of thier lives, and they will all dwell in Your house, our Lord's, forever. (some day there will be a great reunion in heaven with shouts of joy... unending love as a family of Christians being with their sweet Friend and Savior Jesus Christ who will greet all with a loving embrace and much pleasure!).
Thank you Father for this beautiful picture of LOVE from the 23 Psalm and from this mom, Jenni, I have been privileged to know through Bible Study Fellowship....who has modeled kindness, love, and the power of prayer to me.
in His name I pray...AMEN.

Josh first came into my life when he was about 4 years old....as beautiful a child as he was a young man...inside and out. There is no measure for how much we will all miss him. I pray for you, Jenni. You are such an amazing example of a mother's unconditional love for her child. I pray for peacefulness for you, Lary and the rest of the family in knowing that Josh is with our Lord now. What a footprint Josh has made on my heart.....memories that will always be with me. Mike, Jan, Brittany & Lila, My prayers are with you constantly. My cousin Josh was a much loved person. What wonderful kind words have been written about him. I hope he knows how much he was loved. It is obvious that he touched everyone he came into contact with. Isn't that what we all wish for, to be able to reach out to everyone we meet? Josh had this ability. Whether with his laugh, smile or his jokes or his questions. And we know he had lots of questions!!! I watched him grow from a boy into a handsome young man coming into his own with a beautiful young girlfriend who brought out even more of the best of him. I wished we had more time with him, but I treasure the ones we did have. I know we will have eternity with him in God's house. Love Sandi

We love you all dearly, Mike, Jan, Brittany and Lila - we are never far from any of you! Loving you, Judy and Jim

Dear Jan, Mike and Brittany. We still get the FBC newsletter, even though we have been at SGBC for years. Jenny and Clyde Wyatt are friends of ours there. Needless to say, I was shocked to read about the loss of Josh. I remember him as a darling little boy, and from what I read on this site, he was an outstanding young man. We do not understand God's ways, someday Jan, maybe I can share with you what we have gone through. We just know that he is with us at all times. In the hereafter, you will have a smiling handsome son waiting for you. We are so very sorry.
