Joshwa Alvin Kauffmann, age 31, of Cannon Falls, MN, formerly of Wells, MN died unexpectedly Sunday, June 25, 2017. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, MN, with Pr. Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Rosehill Cemetery in Wells, with military honors accorded by the Wells Color Guard. Joshwa Alvin was born April 28, 1986 in Columbus, MT, the son of Lenny Kauffmann and Susan Olson. He graduated from United South Central High School in Wells, and later attended Riverland Community College where he obtained his electricians degree. He served as a member of the United States Army National Guard for 12 years before being discharged. Josh has been a long time resident of Cannon Falls where he worked as a welder and a shop hand at Arena Trailer Sales. Josh was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. Josh had one son, Callan, who was the light of his life. Josh was a fun loving guy who loved his family and friends and spending time with them. Josh is survived by his son, Callan; parents: Lenny Kauffmann and Susan Olson of Wells; siblings: Jordan (Mel) Bruegger, Kristy (Mike) Koprowicz, Karl Kauffmann, Dustin (Kelsey) VanFleet, and Alysha (Andy) VanFleet; one nephew, Jaxon Kauffmann; grandfathers: Gene Kauffmann and Ken Stenzel; uncle, Randy Kauffmann, and aunt, Faith Kauffmann; great-aunts: Linda (Ron) Niebuhr, and Millie Salor; and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Harvey and Evie McLain, Pat Stenzel, Donna Dermer, and Heather Kauffmann; aunt, Jamie Kauffmann, and many great-aunts and uncles.

So sorry for the loss of your loved one!I didn't know Josh personally but I know how much he was loved and he will be deeply missed. I do know his mom Susie and many of the Kauffmanns And can't imagine their pain, but I have recently went thru this with my own bro in feb, I can relate to the loss! I will pray for all of you.

So many memories and so little time. I will miss Josh dearly. He was a good person that defiantly wore his heart on his sleeve. He was a military brother with my sons and a great and loyal friend. I am going to miss his humor and smile. My condolences and respect to family.
