Dr. Tellez was one of the nicest anesthesiologist I new and worked with at HEB, he always had a smile on his face and was always kind and compassionate to his patients. We used to always joke around about my speaking Spanish with him. I remember he brought a patient in the Recovery Room one day and hit a bump and since I didn't know how to say that he ran over a bump in Spanish I simply said to Dr. Tellez El Bumpo. Boy did he crack up, he had never heard it said like that before. I'm glad I had the opportunity to know Dr. Tellez even if for just awhile, he was truly a loving, compassionate, and caring man with a genuine heart, he will be truly missed but will always be apart of the HEB family.

I had the privilege of knowing and working with Juan in the Recovery Room at HEB. He was a wonderful man respectful, humorous, a great anesthesiologist. He was always happy to help, making a joke and someone you could trust implicitly. Helped on Mission Trips to Mexico. Thank you Katie for sharing him with us. May God Bless You and the family at this time.

My heartfelt condolences go to Katie and family. I feel privileged to have been able to work with Juan, whom I admired as an individual and Doctor (HEB). He was kind, patient and respectful of everyone he came in contact with. He leaves a wonderful legacy. RIP Juan. Hilary
