Julianna Sannino

Julianna "JJ" Sannino passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, in Fairfield, Connecticut. Born on August 12, 2004, in Manhattan, JJ lived a vibrant and purposeful life that touched many in just 20 short years.

JJ grew up in Mt. Kisco, New York, and was pursuing her master's degree in elementary education at Sacred Heart University, where she was recognized as a dean's list student. Her passion for teaching was evident from an early age and continued to flourish through her academic journey and community involvement. She found joy in mentoring, tutoring, coaching the Seven Bridges swim team, and volunteering at local churches.

A gifted dancer and choreographer, JJ earned national recognition by the age of sixteen. Her creativity and dedication led her to the Sacred Heart University Dance Company's Company Choreography Fellowship Program (CCFP), where she combined her love of dance with her passion for teaching.

JJ embraced life with fearless enthusiasm. From playing little league baseball and attending wrestling camp to skateboarding hills and skiing black diamond slopes, she never shied away from a challenge. She also cherished quiet moments-reading, writing poetry, and sitting peacefully by the riverbank with her pets.

Known for her strength, kindness, and insight, JJ had a unique ability to connect with others. She formed lasting friendships wherever she went and was deeply devoted to those she loved.

JJ is mourned by her mother, Desiree; her father, Dominick; her siblings, Sammy and Nick; her grandmother; her aunts and uncles; cousins; and many dear friends. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
