Justin Pendleton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 24, 2012.
At the young age of 28, Justin Chandler Pendleton left the cares and pain of this world on February 24, 2012. His family and friends will miss him terribly. He was always there, ready and willing to lend an ear and talk and help others through their trouble and pain. Born on May 31, 1983 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Justin attended and graduated with honors in June 2001 from West High School in Salt Lake City. He attended the University of Utah. Justin was a kind and caring friend to all. He showed great courage recently, by rescuing several friends and neighbors from a devastating fire, saving their lives at risk to his own. This was the type of person Justin was. He was also known as the "brain" in the family, excelling in the academics and had exceptional skills in math and the computer sciences. Growing up, Justin worked with his father in his father's business, Pendleton Fence and Deck. From January 2001 to January 2008, he worked for Alorica, Inc. as a customer service, technical support and sales representative. He provided live chat and technical support to customers on NEC printers and monitors. As a leader and team trainer at the company, he assisted the rest of the team technically and trained new hires on products and database software, making trips to the Chicago headquarters to keep abreast of the new company products. In January 2008, he went to work for NEC Display as a Customer Service Manager, continuing many of the same job functions in the computer sciences field. Justin will be dearly missed by his father, Michael Dean Pendleton, of Provo, Utah; and, as the third oldest grandchild of a total of 18 grandchildren, by his paternal grandparents, Lynn and Mary Pendleton of Payson, Utah and by his sister, Megan Amber Pendleton in Akron, Ohio. He will be remembered dearly by his cousins in Provo, Sarah, Janessa, Clint and Crystal Pendleton; his cousins from California, Eric, Amada, Travis and Dylan Foth; Skylar Williams and Andrea Pratt, Ryan Hollister, Cami Nordstrom, Marci Baguley, Alysa and Rachel Pendleton and by his many aunts, uncles, and extended cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcia Ann Young and his maternal grandparents, Larry and Charlotte Young. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Walker Family Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, in Payson Utah. There will be a family gathering at 9:45am – 10:45am at the mortuary preceding the service. Burial will be at the Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East Street in Payson with a graveside dedication that will follow the funeral services. A luncheon for friends and family to honor Justin's life will be held at the Elkridge 6th Ward, located at 185 East Ridgeview Drive, Elk Ridge, Utah, following the graveside services.
