Kailey Windish
PEKIN ~ Kailey JoAnne Windish, 31, of Pekin, passed into the arms of the Heavenly Father on April 10, 2021.
She was born to John A. and Kimberly J. (Fabry) Windish on September 1, 1989 at Pekin Memorial Hospital.
She grew up in Pekin where she attended Pekin schools and played the violin with Pekin Suzuki Strings for eight years. She graduated from Pekin Community High School in 2008, where she played in the PCHS Concert Orchestra (Encore) for four years. She later attended Illinois Central College, earning a certificate in IT Training. She then attended Midstate College, with a certificate in medical billing.
Kailey enjoyed listening to music, as well as playing it and liked being with friends and family members. She was a confirmed member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a certified member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
Kailey is survived by her parents of Pekin; one sister, Taren (Ryan) Hartwig of Saginaw, Texas; one niece, Fabry Lillian Hartwig; her maternal grandmother, Sharon J. Fabry of Pekin; maternal aunt and uncle, Tonya (Fabry) and Bill Calvert; paternal aunts and uncles, David Windish, Joy Windish, Karen Sipes, Mary Broderick and Rita Windish; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Willis E. Windish and Jerry A. Fabry, as well as her paternal grandmother, Rita M. (Kellogg) Windish.
Her private memorial service was held at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin. Father Michael Andrejek officiated. Burial took place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. A celebration of Kailey's life will be scheduled at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Pekin Police Foundation, 111 South Capitol Street, Pekin, Illinois 61554.
