Karen was an amazing person, so the news of her passing effects all of us deeply. Our thoughts are with the family in this difficult time.

February 2, 2013

Dear Paine Family, I knew Karen from Grade 1 and have many fond memories of St. Leo's and St. Bernard's. Always a true and sincere friend. She assisted with my dad's care several years ago at Leominster Hospital and I know, through her intervention, that he was well watched over. I saw her struggle that day but her concern was not for herself, but for my dad. Reading the other entries, that seems to be a common theme. May we remember her fondly and be grateful that God placed such a caring and unselfish individual in our paths to show us his compassion. Rest in peace Karen and know that you will be remembered.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Karen at Leominster Hospital. She was my friend PIA. We used to joke about that all the time. It was very apparent that she had a great family and a supportive son. David I will never forget her "passport" story! She will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am at a lost for words to describe my best friend leaving us so suddenly and unexpected. For 24 yrs we knew each other and spent many, many great times together and with our children. I feel like a second Mom to David and she to my daughter Jennifer. Her family is my family and I always told her how very lucky she was to have them as I was lucky to have her. I will always treasure the friendship we had. Prayers and love to all the Paines during this difficult time.

Such sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Paine family. Not only did I work with Karen at HealthAlliance, I also remember Karen and David from the St. Leo's school days...when I would go to events in support of my nephews (the O'Loughlins). Matt and David were good friends. I know how very much she loved David and was so happy to see him start his new life. The Paines are a large and supportive family, who I know will help each other through this very difficult time. May Karen rest in peace.
