Kathryn M. "Katie" Chouinard

SOUTH BERWICK, ME: Kathryn M. “Katie” Chouinard, 90, of Cummings Mills Apartments on Railroad Ave, died Saturday May 6th at the York Hospital after a period of failing health.

Born April 8th, 1916 she was the daughter of the late ward and Mary (Agnew) Garvin. She was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, and was a graduate of Berwick Academy.

Katie worked at Clarostat Manufacturing in Dover and later retired from General Electric in Somersworth. She was a member of the South Berwick Senior Center and enjoyed line dancing. Kathryn enjoyed flowers, sewing and knitting, and loved music, especially the Lawrence Welk Show.

She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, and a good provider.

Members of the family include her husband of 70 years, William F. Chouinard, a daughter, Sheila Dias of Ludlow, MA, 2 sons, Roger Chouinard and his wife Linda of Rockwood, ME and Dennis Chouinard and his wife Susan of Bronson, FL, 4 grandchildren, Joel & Jolene Dias and Michel Chouinard and Dennis Chouinard, Jr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Muriel Marshall and 3 brothers, Ward, Karl and Ashton Garvin.

Friends may call Wednesday May 10, 2006 from 12 Noon until 1:00PM at the McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home 301 Main St. South Berwick where Funeral Services will be held at 1:00PM. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery Rollinsford.
