Kenneth J. Fanucchi

A former L.A. Times reporter, Kenneth died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 26, 2002, after a courageous struggle with lung cancer. He grew up in Bakersfield and Selma, serving in the Army during the Korean War. Attended Reedley College and graduated from UCLA in 1961 with a Journalism degree. In 1961 he began as a reporter for The San Fernando Valley Sun, later becoming editor. In 1965 he joined the Los Angeles Times as a staff writer, reporting for 22 years.

Ken is survived by his second wife of 12 years, Sarah; daughter, Wendy Curtis and son-in-law, Robert Curtis; and first wife Leah. Adored by his many nieces, nephews, his two step-children and extended family. His love of life, humor and generosity will be missed by family and friends. A private burial at sea will be held on November 11 for family and friends.
