Published by Legacy Remembers on Apr. 16, 2025.
Kenneth Earl Moody, 75, of Traverse City, MI, passed away December 25, 2024 from heart failure complications during a hospital stay in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Kenneth was born on December 1, 1949, in Dearborn, MI to Earl and Matilda Moody. He was a graduate of Walled Lake Central and earned a Bachelor of Science from Michigan State University. He enjoyed basketball, diving, fishing and playing guitar.

Kenneth worked in the automotive and housing markets and took on several entrepreneurial endeavors to support a family and build a lakefront home. He enjoyed thrifting and ran a personal Ebay store.

Kenneth was a hard working husband of 27 years, and a devoted father to his three children, Kristin, Mathew, and Kathryn. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast, enjoyed the fine arts, and celebrated partner dancing. He volunteered on a college panel, local environment clean up, and worked at a nonprofit benefiting members of the community. He was inspired by the culture and country of Thailand, appreciating a different kind of peace, respect and way of life. He was known for kindness and willingness to improve the lives of others.

Kenneth is survived by his three children, two sisters and a brother, and many dear friends.

A celebration of Kenneth's life will be held on August 23, 2025, at the Brown Bridge Quiet Area along the Boardman River in Traverse City MI at 2:00 PM.
