Kenneth Piper Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 2, 2025.
Kenneth J. Piper, 75, passed away suddenly on February 21, 2025, at his winter residence in Venice, Florida. Born on March 10, 1949, in Tichigan, Wisconsin, Kenneth-affectionately known as Kenny-was a man whose presence brought light and laughter to those around him. Kenny dedicated much of his career to General Electric, where he worked as a Production Associate. Outside of work, his true passion was music. A talented guitarist, he played in several bands throughout his life, with his most recent group being Last Chance. Music was not just a hobby for Kenny; it was a way of life that connected him with others and brought joy to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Cathy (Hince); his sons Brandon (Barbara) Piper and Keith Piper (May); his brothers Ray Piper and Randy (Mary Jo) Piper and a loving friend he considered a brother Chuck (Rita) Reynolds; and his stepdaughters Angela (Randy) Nasr and Jessica (Edwin) Brazda. Kenny was also a proud grandfather to Blaise, Ava, and Stone, as well as step-grandfather to Ramzi, Amira, Noah, and Shiloh. And many other family and friends, including his fur companion, Bernie. He was predeceased by his ex-wife Susan, his son Todd, and his parents Charlie and Barbara. To know Kenny was to love him. His warmth and humor left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His family is deeply saddened by this sudden loss but takes comfort in the memories they shared with him and knowing he is in the loving arms of his Savior. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer, with details to be announced at a later date.

I'll never forget the first time I met Ken 10 years ago right after we moved in. He was sitting in the garage with Mike for the first time. I came home from shopping at Walmart and they didn't double bag some salsa. I started in the back door as Mike started to introduce us. Just then the bag broke and I had broken glass and salsa all over the step. Kenny jumped up and started to help me clean it up! He was a nice, fun guy. We will miss him.

Kenny was one of the nicest, smartest and funniest guys I got to work with at GE. We were all kind of wild in the early days of our careers at GE, but Kenny and Rick Pelletterri mentored me into a better way to go in life! I am sad to hear this news and am sad for Cathy, who was s perfect match for Kenny! He was kind of crazy and she was common sense! I will think of him often as I drive through Duck Inn mobile home park. Great memories! God Bless you Cathy.

Cathy we are so terribly sorry. We had so much fun meeting you both in Mexico. I will never forget when we were drinking on the beach seeing the big fireball in the sky that went to no where. We will always cherish that. Hang in there! You will be in our hearts and thoughts. Janet & Scott Morande
