BLUE SPRINGS – Kenneth ""Ken"" Thrasher, 54, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, at North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on November 14, 2015. He was born in Pontotoc on November 17, 1961, to James Nathan and Mary Lois McCluskey Thrasher. Ken was a painter by trade and had worked for different construction companies, including, Cook and Riley Inc., Jim Gannon Sub-Contractors and most recently, Mid-South Properties. He enjoyed antique cars, racing cars, and was an avid NASCAR fan, cheering on Kyle Petty. Ken also enjoyed watching both college and professional football and was a huge Ole Miss fan. His greatest enjoyment was being with his friends. Ken was a member of New Robbs Bethel Baptist Church.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. Bobby Holland officiating. Graveside services will follow in Sherman Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one, sister, Lois Patricia Bigham of Tupelo; one brother, Dwight Thrasher of Pearl; five nieces, Heather, Kristy, Dedra, Shoney and Marlena; four nephews, Corey, Nathan, Greg and Mark; two aunts, Lena Causey of Jackson and Jean Easterling (Billy) of Raleigh; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by parents; and brothers, James Lee Thrasher and Rayford Allen Thrasher.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Courtney, Tommy Courtney, II, James Courtney, David Boland, Trey Chadwick and Terry Staten.
Visitation is 5 until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 15, 2015, at the funeral home.
