Oh, so sorry to hear this. I didn't know he was even ill. I got to know Ken a bit when I nominated his Dad for the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rockford Area Music Industry (RAMIs). His Dad and my Dad (Val Eddy) performed together in the Bill Engberg Band. Ken was so gracious at the RAMIs, thanking me publicly for nominating his Dad, which he didn't have to do. He was so sweet. What a loss. I didn't know he was a chemist like me...my deepest condolences to his mother, wife, children and the whole family. So sad. Rest in peace with God dear one.

Mary and Family,
Sincerest condolences for your loss. Once Aunt Sharon shared the details of Kent's health and I have held you and yours in thought and prayer. I have always appreciated what your family means to us and send deepest sympathy for your loss.
With caring thoughts,
Colleen Thompson

Mary & Family.....
Both Shelley and I were very shocked to hear of Kent's passing. I personally met Kent when working as joint sales representatives for Viking Chemical in 1974. After leaving Viking, I then had the honor of serving you both with photography services at your wedding. Kent was a great guy. We had so many laughs together during our sales years. His humor was contagious. He had the innate ability to make you feel more enlightened after a conversation with him. He was truly a smart guy! I know he dearly loved you and his children. God bless and carry you all at this trying time!

My sympathies to Kent's mother, his wife and his whole family. I remember him from 1962 when he attended Auburn High School in Rockford. Guilford High School opened the next year and Auburn lost hundreds of students to Guilford High, who hailed from the East side, Cherry Valley, Caledonia and far off places like that.
I remember him as being nice and friendly and SMART. Just look at those glasses. Kent was one of those I wondered Whatever happened to____? There were a lot of girls I wondered Whatever happened to but that's another story.
It looks like Kent had a wonderful life, but not long enough.
I'm adding some pictures of him from the 1963 Guilford yearbook, called Valhalla. The definition of Valhalla is a hall in which heroes killed in battle were believed to feast with Odin for eternity.
Rest in peace.
