Kevin Driscoll Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 10, 2008.
Kevin DRISCOLL Kevin Michael Driscoll, age 33, joined a good many of his Irish ancestors on October 8th, while surrounded by family. Kevin was born and raised in Seattle, WA. He attended O'Dea high school, and 4 years of college in Ketchum, ID. Kevin was a friend to all and loved to celebrate life. His smile was contagious, his spirit was strong. Kevin was generous beyond his means, his enduring laughter touched the lives of all that met him. He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking and felt at home at the ocean shore. Kevin's heart of gold will be forever treasured by his father, Jim, his mother, Mary Ellen, sister Julie, and brother Ryan. His spirit will be carried on by his many family and friends. 'Sláinte!' Remembrances can be made in Kevin's name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network by visiting pancan.org or by calling 1-877-272-6226 Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3:00 pm on Tuesday October 14th at St Bridget Church, 4900 NE 50th St., Seattle. To Ryan and the Driscoll family -
I just heard the terrible news. It's been awhile since I had seen Kevin, but I'll never forget the way he could light up a room. He had the most infectious spirit! The kind where, just being around him, you couldn't help but have a big smile on your face. My heart goes out to your family in your time of loss. Kevin, may you rest in peace.

Aunt Mary Ellen, Uncle Jim, Julie, and Ryan.

I am so very sorry that you should experience such heartache. Jill and I have had you in our thoughts all week.

I have many wonderful memories of Kevin as a child and many as an adult. I returned to the northwest and was looking forward to new adventures in life with all the family, especially Kevin. It saddens me that our reunion was so brief but I am grateful for the times we had. The rest of us will have to carry on without Kevin, but only until the day we see him again. I will miss my dear cousin very, very much. He will always be loved.
Love Sean, Jill, Sofia, Amelia, and Gabriella Stone.

Kevin, May you be at peace now. The memories of being in O'Dea together and being on the wrestling team beatin eachother up. You always wanted everyone to be happy and have a smile on their face and if they didnt you did everything you could so they would. As we go we go together. May God's love and calming spirit be over you and your family.

Kevin, though we have never met, I was a friend of your father and mother and your fathers family for many years before you came into this world. Knowing them and from what I have read, you had to have been a great son, and friend to those who knew you as were your parents. We seem to have had so many things in common, I wish I would have been able to meet you. May God's love bring peace to your family and friends and may Jesus embrace you at the gates of heaven.
My son, Jeff is 36 and I don't know what I would do without him by my side. Jim and Mary I feel your pain and pray for you and your family.
With all our love, Allen and Susan Hentschell, Monroe,WA.

Kevin,
You were the most generous, good hearted person I've ever met. You never had a mean thing to say about anyone. We had a lot of fun, road trips to Vancouver B.C., hanging out at each others cabins, partying in Sun Valley. I wish we had kept in touch better the last few years. I'll miss your optimism and your sense of humor. I count myself blessed to have called you a friend.

Kev,
You truly cared about people and placed yourself second to help others first. I appreciated our friendship very much. Summer of '94 was when we bonded the most and I won't forget that. I love you bro.

Although we have been out of touch for about 30 years, I think of you all often--especially darling sweet little Kevin (about 3 years of age). In fact, he was on my mind just a few days ago. I was devastated to see the paper today, and I can't imagine how much pain you are in. Thanks for sharing the happy, funny little blonde boy with me and Peter on Warren Avenue. ((hugs of comfort))

Kevin,

Be at peace old friend. You were a fixture of my childhood, and a cherished friend. G.I. JOE's in the raveen below your house, big wheel terror, QA little league, Mariner games with your Dad and uncle, WWF Main Event Fridays; the memories live on forever, and so shall your spirit.
