Kevin McCarn Obituary
Born March 10, 1956, Kevin was the second son of Davis Barton McCarn and Mary Jenelle Moore.
Kevin was precocious to a fault - doing well on formal tests despite his penchant for skipping classes.
Tiring of school, Kevin joined the Army at 17 and served in Colorado, Washington, Virginia, Korea
and Enewetak. He received Army training in Unix systems administration while in Korea and added
hands-on experience working for his elder brother after leaving the Army at Digital Microcomputer
Concepts Corporation in Falls Church, VA.
Kevin founded the consulting firm MC2 ("MC Squared") before leaving the Army, and has kept it
(intermittently) active ever since.
Kevin eschewed formal religious observances but expressed an affinity for both quaker and
bokononist philosophies.
In recent years, Kevin enjoyed the companionship and brotherhood of the US Military Veterans
Motorcycle Club of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, regularly taking part in group rides and
fundraising events.
Kevin is survived by his children Kevin Held, Keith and Ken McCarn, by his partner of 22 years Sun-i
Morris, and by her children Michael and Sean Morris, and by her granddaughter Alexis (Lexi) Morris.
Services will be held at noon on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the large chapel on the grounds of the Veterans
Administration Hospital in Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Kevin's USMVMC club. Make checks payable to

I serviced with Kevin in the 2nd Engineer Bn, South Korea from 1979-1980 and interfaced with him later when he was stationed in Yongsan Garrison, Seoul. He was a remarkable person. - SFC Mark J. Krupa (ret)

I just heard of Kevin's passing and Im very sorry. Kevin and I worked together at MCR for several years and he taught me a lot. I'm so sorry and wish I could have shown my respects.
