I met Larry from work at the Marine Hardware store Hopkins Carter in Ft Lauderdale . I knew he was a Marine just from his swag , that every Marine has . I used to bring him mangoes and other fruit that was locally grown . He knew i took care of soldiers that were KIA at the Miami City Cemetery . He even told me some stories from WWII , though briefly , as he saw the worst of Humanity in the War . I think of him often , he was a great man and i miss him very much . Rest in Peace Marine .

Larry was larger than life, a successful business man, highly decorated World War II veteran, husband, father, grandfather, partner to Joyce Oberlander & friend to many. First met Larry at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club & got to know him over the years through my dear friend, Joyce. He was truly dedicated to her & I got to know Larry as I spent time at the house Larry & Joyce shared. He was generous & loving to Joyce, his children, his grandchildren, loved them all. I´m blessed to have known this amazing man. God Bless....,

I was fortunate to meet Mr. Klairmont several years ago at his museum. I got to spend several hours discussing real estate and how he did it. What an inspiration Larry was to many and his devotion to his country.
