I am very sad to at this late date learn of the passing of my friend Mame McCarty and am sorry no one let me know. There is so much I loved about
this incredible woman...our times together in the kitchen, at games, the
advice she gave me, the tears and laughter we shared. She was very keen on coming to visit me in New York, but we both knew she would not. Peter and Paul...your mom was so special, as was your father, and I am richer in heart and soul for having known both of them

Quick with a laugh, quicker with a smile and NEVER without an opinion her warmth and kindness shined at all times. She lived with passion, loved her family dearly and made everyone feel welcome in her presence. She was truly unique and will be sadly missed.

Rest in peace.

Peter, Paul, Cullen and Jackson,
Your Mom, Grandmom was one of a kind. Her laughter filled a room; her joy was infectious. Her friendship with my Mom was a gift. The memories I have of her at swim meets, in the stands always bring a smile. She and your Dad were the best! Earth's loss is Heaven's gain; she will liven the place up! May the happy memories you will always carry bring you comfort now. The Houston family sends our sympathy. Mom would be there if she could, but she is in FL. Know that we are thinking of you all.
