In Loving Memory of Lee DeGrace

September 5, 1947 - January 18, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Leander "Lee" DeGrace on January 18, 2025, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, at the age of 77.

Lee was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years, Helen Brass DeGrace. He leaves behind his two children, Sarah and Matthew (Starrlee), who will forever cherish his memory. Lee was a devoted brother to Walter (Sandra), Frances, and Joyce (Tim) and was predeceased by his siblings Simon and Carol, as well as his parents, Aurele (Joe) DeGrace and Bridget Aube Doughty.

Born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, Lee grew up in Toronto, where he built a successful career as a tool and die maker before retiring in 2015. In retirement, he enjoyed daily coffees with neighborhood friends at the local shop and was an avid supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. He also had a fondness for Clint Eastwood films.

Lee's kindness, generosity, and warm spirit touched the lives of many. Those who knew him will remember his outgoing nature and the joy he brought to their lives.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Lee's memory.

Rest in peace, dear Lee. Your love and legacy will remain forever in our hearts.

I met Sarah's Dad a few times over the years. He was always so friendly, helpful and accommodating. A really nice, genuine guy who I'm sure will be missed by all who knew him. Condolences to all the family.
