Leo E. Knaggs, 57, of Riga Twp., MI, died Thursday, April 13, 2006, in his home. Born June 1, 1948, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Raphael and Lois (Oberski) Knaggs. He married Donna Wilkinson on December 6, 1968, in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance, MI. Leo was a tool and die maker for T.M. Machine and Tool in Toledo for 17 years, retiring in 2003. Prior, he worked for Glass City Tool & Die in Toledo. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Deerfield, MI, Past Commander and Chaplain of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 325, in Blissfield, MI, a Cub Scout leader at Whiteford Schools, a Campfire Dad and a children's bowling instructor at Forest View Lanes in Lambertville, MI. Leo also enjoyed fishing and hunting with his best friend, Wally Perry.
Surviving are his loving wife, Donna; children, Christy (Richard) Crummy of Riga, MI, Gail (James) Whalen of Toledo, OH, and Alan (Andrea) Knaggs of Ottawa Lake, MI; grandkids, Jacob, Alex, Conor, Ian Crummy, Jessica Knaggs and Bailey Whalen; brothers, Roland (Donna) Knaggs of Toledo and Thomas (Diane) Knaggs, of Millbury, OH; sister, Karen (Michael) Maria of Toledo.
Friends may call from 1-7 p.m. Monday where funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Church Building Fund, Deerfield, MI, Riga Volunteer Fire Department or charity of the donor's choice. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
