Dear Gibbons Family,
May I express my deepest sympathy for the passing of your beautiful patriarch. He touch my life immensely as he taught the Honor Choir of Westwood High in Mesa AZ years ago. May you continue on in his example of beautiful service through music.

Dear Gibbons Family:
I thought Dell was signing this guest book, and he thought I was doing it. Both of us have beautiful memories of our association with all of you. While at BYU, Lee worked with Dell and was extremely kind and helpful with ideas for fund-raising and donations. Dell remembers Lee as a hard-working, honorable, dedicated man who loved the Lord and loved his family.
One of my dearest memories was of Lee when he taught both of our daughters in private vocal lessons. Because of him, they gained confidence and feelings of self-worth in a way no one else could have
done.
The Gibbons family has blessed our lives and has exemplified faith, courage, and hope through many trials, tests, and tribulations. We have learned important lessons that have strengthened our own faith and our commitment to family, friends, and the Lord.

Dear Donna,
I was saddened to hear of Lee's passing. My memories of Lee when he worked in Admissions and Records are fond and dear to me. Lee was a man of great energy and integrity. His soft spoken ways and humilty were an example to all of us who worked with him on a regular basis at BYU.
Having lost Karen to cancer over 15 months ago I do know of the challenges of saying goodbye to a spouse. May the Lord bless you with comfort, love and understanding in the months and years a head.
Lee was and is a great man who taught me much and I am a better person for having had the opportunity to associate with him.
With deepest Sympathy and love.

I love your family greatly. Lee is a wonderful and faithful man. Though I'm grateful he is free from the illness that placed bounds on his body, I know that I celebrate with you the blessing that he is now free from those earthly difficulites.
Still, the loss is hard, and I pray for the Holy Spirit's comfort to uplift each one of you at this time of sorrow.
I love you and express gratitude for the legacy of music, caring, and goodness that you continue.
God's tenderest and sweetest blessings on each one of you,

My prayers are with you at this sad and glad time. Lee made my life better for knowing him. We will continue to enjoy the music and songs of the Gibbons Family singers. I have great memories beginning in the days of the Motoraunt in Holbrook, the Sound of Music production in Holbrook, and many enjoyable conversations with him and Donna since those days. He was a great man to know.

Sister Donna and family -
I was deeply saddened when Mary called me to inform us of Lee's passing. We were in Hawaii at the time at a convention (Wanda's American Psychological Association), and I had time to reflect on the many memories we created together with our families over the years. The tears were many, but my joy surpassed the sadness and was heartfelt.
Lee was an enormeously talented and gifted man, with a pure heart who had a deep love for his Savior, his wife and family, and the Church. He was devoted to each of you, dedicated to his work and was a true keeper of the faith. He was, indeed, one of God's elect.
While he, along with you, suffered many personal losses as other family members departed this life, he knew that he would see them again. That blessing has now been realized for he is with them, and is busy singing, leading and directing the choirs of heaven, creating celestial music for all of God's angels. If you listen while you pray, you can hear the heavens rejoice in perfect harmony as his voice resonates above the rest in all its glory and majesty.
I am proud to call him my brother in law, dearest friend and constant example of Christlike attributes. We will miss him terribly, but will remember him fondly with deep affection and admiration.
May your thoughts and memories of him flood your minds, bring you peace and find a permanent place in your hearts, and may his influence on your lives continue to bring joy and satisfaction to him, as his spirit monitors your steadfastness in faith and your love for and acceptance of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Lee will be watching over you and you will feel his presence continually as you strive to be obedient and become more like him.
We love you all...

Dearest beloved Gibbons family,
I am thankful to have had this information sent to me by wonderful John Perry, so that I can offer my heartfelt condolances to all of you, his immediate family.
My mind is flooding with memories of my associations with him and with you, his family, in the ward & neighborhood in Orem where my family moved at the end of my 9th grade year.
Because my mom was from Snowflake, and knew Him from way back when, we felt like we had a connection to a family in our new surroundings.
The gracious friendship you extended was very helpful in my adjustment to moving.
I remember hearing the family band practice downstairs, and having long talks with Donna, LeRoy & Barry.
I remember LeRoy 'showing off' his tiny little sister Felica to us. She had an amazing big voice, at such a young age!
I remember all of the original songs that LeRoy & Barry wrote and performed at the high school. I remember their leadership in the youth group and at school.
I also remember Terri & I having good conversations with (mom) Donna as well.
I remember Donna's and Felicia's wedding receptions! Both of them made an impression, because I can picture them right now.
Your father had one of the most angelic and gorgeous tenor voices I think I have ever heard. It was breathtaking to me.
Living away from Utah, it was always a comfort to look for him in the choir during general conference.
He played the part of 'Father' in "Its A Miracle" when I was in it, & I remember how kind and complimentary he was to me.
I feel honored to have known this good man, and your good family. May the Lord pour out his blessings upon you all.
Love,
Patti Thomas Rascon

Dear Donna and family, I was so sad to hear of the passing of my good friend LeRoy. He was always a brilliant light of influence in my life and I am eternally grateful. At this moment I can hear his laughter, see his warm, caring smile and his happy, bright, mischievous eyes. Memories will forever live in my heart of him. One I would like to share with you Donna is the first time I saw you together and it was obvious how in love he was and throughout the years how he has loved you. May the strength of love bring you peace and comfort. My love is with you and your wonderful children.

Dear Gibbons Family,
I crosssed paths with Lee at BYU several years ago. I remember him as the "complete man," talented, well rounded and rooted in the gospel. He made a positive impresson on me as a professional colleague and I know he left a wonderful legacy for his family.

I worked with Lee at LDS Foundation for many years. He was a wonderful man, and I am sorry for your loss. When my aunt died, he sang a beautiful a capella solo at her graveside service that touched the heart of everyone present. I visited him in the convalescent hospital where he wept with me about the death of my daughter, Lori Hacking. There just wasn't a better man alive than Lee, and I hope he's seen Lori now and told her about our visit. May you feel the sweet comfort of the Lord during this time of sorrow.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Lee's passing on Sunday. Both of you have been on my mind for the last three months. Lee's time with LDS Philanthropies (LDS Foundation) and BYU blessed hundreds, even thousands of lives. He was a man of many talents. When he was well, he had a "heart" as expansive as the universe. We always felt Lee's great love and interest in others. He will be missed in mortality, but welcomed in eternity. Kareen and I send our heart felt condolences and love.
Sincerely,
McClain and Kareen Bybee

Dear Gibbons Family,
We have surely lost a very sweet man this week. He will be greatly missed. I loved his charm, class, talent, and incredible wit. Please know Donna and family that our prayers are with you, and that our hearts have been both saddened and yet poignantly reflective as we once again draw on and see our faith tested in God's plan. We also once again stand in awe of your faith and commitment to the Lord through such trials.
It was such a pleasure to have a small part in Lee's life, and to feel of his greatness. His spirit, laughter, intellect and beautiful tenor voice will continue to ring in our ears throughout our lives here in the Neubert family. We love and wish you well as you continue without this sweet husband, father, and grandfather.
Love,
Uncle Bryce Neubert & Family
