Linda Ann Davis (nee Thimm), age 73, went home to be with the Lord on May 1st, 2025.
Linda was born to Harold and Mary Thimm on July 13th, 1951. She spent her childhood at the family farm in Rubicon, Wisconsin, with her 7 siblings and 2 aunts who lived with the family.
Linda's faith was very important to her. Her purpose in life was to spread the word of the Lord and share her belief in Jesus with others. She loved The Lord with all of her heart and shared His good news with everyone she met. All of her life she talked about wanting to be in heaven with Heavenly Father.
Linda enjoyed making people she loved happy and spent much of her time chatting with her family. Her great nieces and nephews enjoyed coming over to play at her apartment. Every time it was one of her sibling's birthdays, Linda would call all of the siblings to remind them to call that person. It was Linda's way to be sure each person felt special on their birthday. Linda was a fabulous cook and loved to bake and can foods, too. She was famous for her homemade chocolate eclairs and cream puffs which she brought to every family gathering. There were no short cuts, she made it from scratch. She also loved to eat and thoroughly enjoyed preparing food for others. Whenever Linda ate anything that someone made, it always tasted "the best"!
Linda was a natural born saleswoman - from jelly shoes to music box teddy bears to painted rocks. She spent most of her life creating items and selling them.
Linda loved animals. For years she had many cats she fed and took care of on the family farm. She enjoyed pet sitting for friends and family for birds, cats and dogs. In the last years of her life she thoroughly enjoyed taking care of her neighbor's dogs who were more like children to her.
Linda found a place she felt content and at home in her apartment community in
Waupun, Wisconsin. There she made many friends and felt at peace. She especially enjoyed watching sunrises from her balcony.
We are comforted by knowing that Linda is in Heaven with Jesus, and we look forward to seeing her there again one day.
She is survived by her seven brothers and sisters, Edward (Andrea) Thimm of Innsbruck, Austria; William (Kristine) Thimm of Rubicon; Ann (Tom) Santy of Fond du Lac; Monica (Larry) Kreilkamp of Rubicon; Ronald (Barbara) Thimm of Hartford; Catherine (Orlen) Braunschweig of Randolph; and Lucinda Thimm-Jurado (Jay Jurado) of Madison; 26 nieces & nephews, 56 great nieces & nephews, Aunt Laverne Geiger and Uncle Albert Peters, as well as many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Mary Thimm, one nephew, one great-nephew, and her aunts/sisters, Jean Peters and Joan Knetzger.
There will be a Private Celebration of Life held at the Senior Center (730 Highland Av, Hartford, WI 53027) on Friday, May 9th, beginning at 4:00 pm. At 4:30 PM Pastor Jessica Oosterhouse, Linda's niece, will lead a service. A meal will be served immediately afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to Washington County Humane Society (3650 State Road 60, Slinger, WI 53086 or
