Lisa TOBIAS Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 19 to Dec. 20, 2020.
TOBIAS, Lisa Jo Munger, Michigan Lisa Jo Tobias, 59, of Munger, our caring, loving, and passionate wife, mother, Mema, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region. Lisa was born in Bay City on May 2, 1961, the daughter of Gordon and Phyllis (Perriman) Finn. She was a 1979 graduate of Bay City Central High School and went on to attend Delta College, where she earned her Associate's Degree. On January 16, 1987, Lisa was united in marriage to Jack L. Tobias, who survives. Throughout life, Lisa worked as a secretary and was an excellent typist. She loved thrifting for her granddaughters, always finding something for twenty-five cents. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and also enjoyed time spent at the family cabin in West Branch. Lisa's other hobbies included bowling, fishing, going for walks, clipping coupons, bike riding, and above all, and buying gifts for those she loved. Her selfless and kind ways will forever live on. In addition to Jack, Lisa's husband of 33 years, she leaves behind her children, Amber (Russ) Kolb, Autumn Tobias, and Spencer Tobias; grandchildren, who were the lights of her life: Kyla, Kamyle, and Kaelyn Tobias; mother, Phyllis Finn; sisters, LouAnn and Laurie; sister-in-law, Cindy (Dennis) Soto, along with many nieces and nephews and her beloved lab, Jake. Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Gordon "Mick" Finn and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Irene Tobias. A Life Celebration will be held in the Spring/Summer of 2021 and will be announced by Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Humane Society of Bay County or Bay Area Women's Center. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.

I worked at the Chamber when she worked at the Realtor Assn. We had lots of laughs, and I even hung out with her a couple of times when I dated Steve Tobias. Will never forget how much fun we had. You will be missed girlfriend!

Dear Phyllis,
Although I did not know your daughter Lisa, I wish to extend my condolences to you and Lisa's family. I remember my sister Barbara (Ralph) Rivett, and my family mentioning your name as I was growing up. I believe you visited our home on N. Henry St. a few times. I am very sorry for the loss of your daughter.

Phyllis.
Sorry to learn of Lisa's passing. Although I did not know her, I know and remember you as a 1946 classmate at Central High School. Sorry for your loss.
