Lois Geer Obituary
Lois was born August 18, 1941, in Pineville, La. She graduated Thomas Jefferson High School in 1959, and married Gene Geer on February 21, 1959. They were blessed with six children. Lois worked at Child Saving Institute in Omaha; ran a state licensed day care in Colorado; worked as a loan professional for Bellco Federal Credit Union in Colorado and after moving back to Council Bluffs was an admitting clerk at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, retiring in 2007.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; son, Timothy Geer, in 1976; and great granddaughter, AnneMarie.
Lois is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gene Geer; daughters, Brenda (Ed) Wendt, Linda Culjat, all of Council Bluffs; sons, Jim (SunYe) Geer, of Henderson, Nev., Todd Geer, Scott (Adrienne) Geer, both of Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; and brother, Dennis Smith, of Council Bluffs.
Visitation with the family, Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Graveside service and burial of ashes, Friday, 11 a.m., in Garner Township Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. Memorials are suggested to Wings of Hope Cancer Support Center, 427 E. Kanesville Blvd.

I just found out about the passing of Lois. It has been many years since I have seen her but she has always had a place in my heart. She was a kind and very loving lady who always had a smile on her face. My heart goes out to all the family and pray that God will hold you close to His heart.

Gene and Family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Lois was a bright star; always with a smile and good humor, never letting anything get the best of her. She loved humanity and animals. I will miss her emails and our visits when I am in Omaha. Bless her heart and soul; she deserves to be a bright star, again, in heaven where her loved ones, who passed before her, will be there to greet her. Love you Lois!

Lois was a friend that was always there for you no matter what. I loved her smile and since of humor, she could light up a room just by walking in, coffee pot was always on and if you happen to show up around meal time there was always room for one more. Love and miss you friend.

To all her family & friends she is and will continue to be a super sweet lady always willing to give you a friendly hello and beautiful smile upon bumping into her at work or out and about. She will be missed deeply even though our paths never bumped that often, but she left an unforgettable face & smile to forget.
