Lois Hardwick was born September 27, 1937 and passed away on October 26, 2021. Lois was so full of life. She enjoyed spending every minute with her family and friends. She was a burst of sunshine that could light up any room, always wearing bright colors and a big smile. Lois never missed an opportunity to be with her family and was present at all events. She loved to travel with her sister and best friend, Betty. She enjoyed shopping at The Boutique and watching football games. Recently, she spent every Friday with her newest great granddaughter, teaching her about all the beautiful things in life. She enjoyed planting flowers and vegetables; watching the birds; and taking care of her dog, "Charlie." Lois married her best friend, Hardy Hardwick, sixty years ago. The two of them owned Hardwick Pest Control, collected sports memorabilia, enjoyed gardening, and raised four children. In prior years, Lois was a phenomenal bowler. She was a kind-hearted woman with many friends whom she loved dearly. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, Nettie B. Jones Walker and Woodrow Jones ; brother, Ned Jones; and husband, Hardy Hardwick. Lois is survived by her sister, Betty Crowe; sisters in law, Nancy Kahrs and Patsy Casey; her children, Dawn and Don Vorhoff, Denise and Henry Guarino, Daryl Hardwick, and Wayne Hardwick; grandchildren: Josh, Matthew, and Adam Vorhoff, Jessica and Dustin Singletary, Ashley and David Hadden, Jennifer Kennedy, John and Nicole Hardwick, Tonya Hardwick, Madison and Savannah Guarino; great grandchildren: Harmony, Dillon, Amanda, and Emily Hadden; Kensley, Tristan, and Isla Rae Singletary; Madison and Robert Hardwick. Services will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home at 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Visiting hours are from 8:30-10:30 am and a service to follow beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.

Denise, Henry, and family; I am so happy and better for having known Granny. She was always arms wide open and welcoming. I loved seeing her. The picture of her is beautiful. I will miss her sweet smile. My heartfelt condolences and to you each I pray peace.
