Louis R. Chouinard, age 89, of Tiverton, RI, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Campion) Chouinard.
Born in Fall River, MA, Louis was the son of the late Louis and Blanche (Ringuette) Chouinard. Louis served his country in the U.S. Navy. He also was a pipefitter for the Plumber and Pipefitter Local Union #51 for many years. He was known to be a true outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He had a passion for gardening and carpentry. Above all else, Louis’ favorite pastime was making memories and spending time with his family whom he loved so dearly.
Louis leaves behind his two daughters, Judith Whalen and her husband Edward of Swansea, MA, and Nancy Murray and her husband Timothy, of Tiverton, R.I. In addition to his daughters Louis leaves his granddaughter, Patricia Rodrigues and her husband Alan of Swansea, MA, as well as his grandson Timothy Murray, and one great-granddaughter, Emma. He also was the brother of Paul Chouinard (wife, Muriel) of San Antonio, TX and the late Lucille Ringuette.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6th, 2022 at Boule Funeral Home in Fall River, MA, from 4-7 PM. A funeral mass will be held Monday, November 7th, 2022, at St. Madeleine Church in Tiverton, R.I. at 11AM with a private cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in honor of Louis to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Donations can be made online at www.stjude.org/donate or by mail to the address below:
