Louis Falletta Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 8, 2023.
Louis Joseph Falletta, known affectionately as Lou, passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 79. He was surrounded with love from his wife, friends & family with his loyal service companion "Biscotti", by his side to the end. Born on June 16, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, Lou was of proud Sicilian Italian American descent who lived a life the way he wanted to, filled with love, dedication, and remarkable achievements.

Lou was a loving husband to Angela Falletta, his second wife, and was formerly married to Barbara Falletta, his first wife. He was a caring friend and a devoted family member, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a heartfelt laugh. Lou had a dry sense of humor that brought joy to those around him, and he faced life's challenges with unwavering strength and resilience. He was a stand-up guy, and loved to be known as the "Bulldog" in business.

Lou's educational journey began at Lakewood Elementary and continued at Lakewood High and Revere High School. He further pursued his higher education at Case Western Reserve and Kent State University, where he achieved his Doctorate of Podiatry.

In his professional career, Lou achieved great success and made significant contributions. He began his journey early with a newspaper delivery & vendor route and later ventured into the steel industry, where he proudly served as an electrician at the Cleveland Cliffs Steel Mill. Lou would laugh and say he was paid exorbitant prices to change lightbulbs there while paying his way through medical school. Lou's dedication and hard work led him to excel in various roles, including his position at Bestline Products.

Lou's passion for helping others led him to pursue a career in the medical field. After earning his Doctor of Podiatry degree, he became a skilled surgeon & dedicated himself to teaching new podiatrists surgery and providing exceptional care to his patients, always putting their well-being first.

In addition to his medical practice, Lou founded PCMC (Physicians Consultants and Management Corp), a successful company with a staff of 100 employees specializing in managing networks of physicians for various specialties, to include management of medical billing review services. His entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen allowed him to make a significant impact in the healthcare industry. Close bonds were made here with enduring friends to the end.

After selling PCMC, Lou started a real estate investment company, L.A.D. Homes, Inc., named after his team Lou, Ang, and Don, that worked flipping homes for several years to come. While building a difficult to sell beach house, Lou became a Realtor with his wife, Angela, and further enjoyed another side of the real estate industry.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Lou had a zest for life and a wide range of interests. He loved to dance, finding joy in live music and movement. Attending plays and live theater performances brought him immense pleasure, and he had a deep appreciation for the arts. He even wrote a play. Lou's love for adventure took him scuba diving and boating, allowing him to explore the wonders of the underwater world. He also had a passion for travel, immersing himself in art and creating cherished memories along the way.

Lou's love for cars started early while working at his dad's body shop and was evident in his cherished 1962 Corvette & cadillacs, which he took great pride in. He had an impeccable taste in clothing, always exuding professionalism with his tailor made suits. He loved fine food and especially a good Sicilian Sunday sauce. Lou enjoyed reading a good book, playing online solitaire, and spending quality time with his loved ones.

Lou will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his brother, Chris Falletta, and his 2nd wife, Angela Falletta, his first wife, Barbara Falletta, his sister-in-law's Karin Niemeyer and Bunny Falletta, his half-brother Robert Niemeyer and half-sister Sandy Niemeyer, as well as Nieces and nephews, Sam & Lynn Falletta and children Sammy and Gabby; Reginald & Theresa Pryear and their children Tre and Carmella; Chip & Juliette Falletta and their 3 children Aubrianna, CJ and Aidan; niece Carmella Moore and nephew Dion Labriola & Nathan Ray, niece Veronica Falletta and all of his adoring cousins, especially Joe & Karen Rhea. Lou was preceded in death by his mother, Carmella Rose Falletta, his father, Charles B. Falletta, his sister, Josephine Labriola, and his brothers, Chuck Falletta and Sam Falletta and his best friend for all of life and two time Best Man, Eddie DiCresce.

Lou's legacy will forever be remembered and cherished. His love, dedication, and zest for life touched the hearts of all who knew him. As we bid farewell to Lou, may his spirit live on in our memories and may he find eternal peace and always be dancing.

There are no Funeral services, but his obituary can be viewed and added to here on Legacy.com. Please visit and drop a line or two and add photos as you wish. Lou donated his brain to the Brain Network to further studies of Parkinsonian diseases as well as other brain diseases. He donated his body to the Gift Registry so incoming doctors can learn surgery by him. We thank the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida, where the compassionate staff, and pathologist assisted, along with the Brain Network and Hospice who assisted his wife with Lou's care during this difficult time. Also, a big thank you to Paul Freeman and his support group, "South Florida Parkinsonian Support Group in support of PSP, MSA, and CBD".

It's coming upon 2 years since you left us. Although the grieving is not as hard now, I miss you no less. I think about you and our love always and I'm sure that I always will until I see you again. You took my heart with you. I'm doing the best I can. I hope you are proud of me. I hope you are the energy around me that has kept me going. Wish I could touch you and hear you. My love always!

Your next door neighbor misses you terribly especially that beautiful smile that always welcomed me! You were a real charmer and I loved your one line quips that got to the heart of the matter. Every time I asked if I could do something for him, he always responded Angela will do it for me. Lou , you were one lucky man to have Ang as your life partner and I know you are watching over her. May you rest in peace Love you both Jane

The Godfather of all Godfathers. I was so lucky to have you, Uncle Lou. You were ornery and strong, loving and patient always...even when this disease started taking a hold of you. You handled it with grace, humor, dignity and fight. A true bulldog. I miss you terribly, the kids miss you so often. It´s amazing but not surprising the impact you had on them in the time they´ve spent with you. Tre still has the shell you gave him and when we want to feel you or my Dad close we play Bocelli through the speakers. That concert with you, Sammy and Aunt Ang is one of my favorite life memories. I pray that wherever you are, you were able to hug Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Chuck, Aunt Jo, my Dad and Ed. I pray you feel strong and at peace. I pray you hold Aunt Ang close and dance with her in her dreams. I pray you watch over Uncle Chris, the baby broth. We miss you, terribly but are thankful you are no longer suffering. I found a birthday voicemail from you in my phone not too long ago. It is one of my most cherished possessions and I play it when I´m missing you. Thank you for letting me take care of you during our last visit. I know it wasn´t easy for your stubborn self. I believe in my heart I´ll see you again someday. Until then, blowing kisses from here!
