Luul Isaac Obituary
On Friday, September 9, 2011, Luul Isaac passed away at the age of 56 years.
She is survived by her husband, Bereket of 34 years; two children, Senait and Samuel; three brothers and two sisters, Ghirmai, Zewdi, Hiwet, Yosief and Yohannes.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. at the Oasis Edmonton, 10930 - 177 Street, Edmonton, AB.

I knew Luul many years ago at the Bureau of Statistics, and remember sharing a meal with her and her husband in my home. I am greatly saddened to hear of her death. She was a wonderful person.

I am very shocked and saddened to hear about Luul's passing. It was in 2005 I met Luul in Edmonton Canada. I found her to be inspiring lady who was very proud and confident of her Eritrean roots. She was dedicated to bringing positive change in the Eritrean community. My condolences to all her family. May you rest in peace Luul.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Luul who was an important member of the Eritrean community in Edmonton....her selfless dedication to raise productive kids nurtured with their proud Eritrean culture is peerless....May God bless her soul and also may God give all her loved ones the strength to cope with this huge loss! What a lady and what a determination- I will miss Luul Haftey!!

Very saddened to hear of Luul's passing. She was a very dedicated, compassionate and hard working lady called home much too soon.
We were very privileged to know Luul through Harvey's working with her at the Alberta Bureau of Statistics.

I met Luul a over 3 years ago. She came up to me and told me that she was very proud of me, and I appreciated it a great deal. I have not had the opportunity to talk to her again, but the only interaction I had with her was positive and uplifting. I pray that her family would find solace in her kindness and the good she brought to the would, especially to people like me.
I am sad that she is gone. Every time I remember her will always put a smile on my face because she was a good woman.
May God console her family and give them peace in knowing that she made the world a better place and I'm sure she is in a good place.

I am exteremly sadened to hear Luul's passing. I first met Luul when I started my first job witht the Alberta Gov't, Bureau of Sattistics in 1985. She was such a nice lady and very helpul to me. I am so sorry to hear about Luul's passing. I met Luul in the early 1980's and worked with her for many years at the Alberta Bureau of Statistics. I have so many fond memories of her! Luul and I kept in touch over the years. She was a beautiful woman whose smile I will never forget.
