Lynn and Family...
My deepest condolences in the loss of your husband and father. I had the privilege of knowing and working with Lynden at PFRA in Regina. He was a gentle giant, whose bark was far worse than his bite, and he had such a zest for living life to the fullest. Words cannot express how greatly he will be missed

Dear Lynn and family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you at this time and may you find peace and love and support from your family in friends in the days ahead.

I enjoyed working with LBJ in Grains and Oilseeds (1989 to 1994). I learned a great deal from LBJ when we worked together. He had a great sense of humour and was devoted and committed to his work and family. He will be sadly missed.

David and Kris,

My heart goes out to you both in losing your father at such an early age. May you cherish and treasure the many memories you have of your Dad in your hearts and remember them especially in times of sorrow and sadness.

Lynden, may you rest in peace!

LB,
Friendship is a beautiful thing. You showed me what friendship really is. You were greeted with the best bottle of scotch and an old red shiny truck. I will remember our friendship.

Dear Lynn & Family,
We, at AAFC, have lost a gentle giant. I worked with Lynden at G&O when I first started at AAFC. He was always teasing me about my being short (something that you, Lynn, can certainly identify with) but it was always good-naturedly. Take care and remember that as long as he lives inside your heart, he will never be truly gone.

Dear Lynne and family,
I am so sad to hear of Lynden's passing. I am honored that I had the chance to work with Lynden at ACCC. His goals and vision for addressing the needs of Canadians living in rural areas are an inspiration and will always stay with me and many others he worked with. I am thankful that I was able to contribute even in a small way to helping him meet his goals. He was always a lot of fun to work with and will be missed very much. I hope that the happy memories you all shared together comfort you through your grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Knew him as LBJ. Passion galore for everything he jumped into. A tall man with a big heart. Will miss the giant smile and the twinkle in his eye. Ever so deserving that a room is being named after him...he followed the farm, the farm follows him.

Dear Lynne and family,
I was shocked when Lynne called Saturday to tell me the news of Lynden's death. I know he was gavely ill, but the cancer he suffered brought an end to this wonderful man that was too soon.
Words really cannot express how sad I feel. My heart is filled with sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband. I loved him too, He was a great friend and mentor. Lynden was such a colorful man. I have never seen a man so dedicated to his work either as a Public Servant or at ACCC. He lived for and was committed to the canadian people, by fostering strategic partnerships within and amongst communities and governments to facilitate rural community development. And was so funny; he loved to kid people, and to have a meaningful discussion on tones of subjects, from politics to the econnomy and family. Lynden was always there for me in good times and bad times. I know how much you will miss Lynden. We all will. But I know you will remember the many blessings of the beautiful years you shared together. He loved you so and you were always a source of strength to him. I will always remember Lynne, the tremendous devotion you've given him during his illness.
Mélanie, Frédéric and I, offer our sympathy and love. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and the family. Lynden you are my angel now, wait for me at the gate, will have a great party together.
God bless you my friend!
