Lynn Green Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 25, 2025.
Lynn Leigh Green, 61, of Parker, CO, passed away on March 10, 2025, with family by her side after a courageous battle with lymphoma. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Lynn was born on August 29, 1963, to Bill and Beverly Ingle in Kansas City, MO. A graduate of Raytown High School in 1981, she loved playing competitive sports. Her athletic endeavors would carry on into adulthood - Lynn enjoyed coed softball, Jazzercise, competing in the KC Corporate Challenge, and eventually leading hiking groups in the mountains of Colorado.

Lynn loved to laugh and find the positive in everything. She had a strong work ethic and applied it to many dedicated years at Government Employees Health Association. Beyond her professional endeavors, Lynn cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cheering on kids' sports games and choir events, and was a beloved Girl Scout Troop Leader. She was so proud to to be a grandma of seven. Grandma "Gigi" was someone you would find playing on the floor with kids, acting silly, singing, and making sure everyone felt special.

Lynn is survived by her mother, Beverly Ingle, of Raytown, MO; children, Athena (Adam) Fron of Urbandale, IA, Amanda (Jared) McPherson of Centennial, CO, and Tom Green (Ella) of Kansas City, MO; siblings, Bill Ingle of Wichita, KS, Mike (Karen) Ingle of San Anselmo, CA, Neke (John) Kullman of Olathe, KS, and Ray (Trisha) Ingle of Yakima, WA; grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Greyson, Mika, Luke, Tessa, and Owen; and many other beloved family members. Lynn is preceded in death by her father, Bill Ingle, Sr. Private services will be held.

Hello Family and friends... I just now found out about my dear friends passing. I am Lynn's friend from Michigan and met her when I spent 3 months in the Denver area in 2023. I was blessed to meet her through her MeetUp hikes. I have many fond memories of our interesting conversations.... we also had quite a few laughs. She is beautiful soul and I will miss her dearly. I am so blessed to have been her friend.

Lynn, you helped me see me, not the made up version. I will miss our long talks, and our silly joy. You always said "I love you, Friend" when we departed. I can hear you saying it now, a treasure here on earth for me. My joy that you are with Jesus and are healed, and my sadness you are not here. Until we meet again, I love you, Friend. Becky Bakken. Hugs and my prayers surrounding her entire Family during this time of loss.

"I've seen fire and I've seen rain
I've seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I've seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I'd see you again". Lynn, thank you for being a good friend. I'll talk to you again when I'm hiking those trials in Colorado you love so much
