Marc Robert Awerdick

Marc Robert Awerdick, 53, passed away on June 23, 2024, in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, after a short illness. His spent his final days surrounded by family and friends.

Born on August 20, 1970, in St. Albans, Vermont, Marc was known for his kind and gentle soul, always ready to stand up for and take care of those in need. He always put family and friends before himself, embodying a spirit of generosity and compassion.

Marc's passions included fishing, surfing, basketball and golf. Listening to classic rock, especially Led Zeppelin. He also had a talent for creating and building with his hands, a skill that brought him much joy and fulfillment. Marc loved to cook and have fun in the kitchen. These hobbies were a testament to his love for nature and creativity.

He is survived by his wife, Melanie Cacciato Awerdick; his father, Lawrence Nelson Awerdick; his mother, Christine Rae Awerdick; his three sisters, Kelley Anne, Lynn Marie, and Courtney Lee Awerdick, as well as his nephew, Nathan Lawrence Awerdick. Marc was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, along with several of his aunts and uncles.

A celebration of life will be held on his birthday in August, honoring Marc's memory and the impactful life he led. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Community Hospice, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, Florida, 32257, in memory of Marc Awerdick. This gesture will help continue Marc's belief in the care and support for others in the community.
