Marcia Neudeck Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2025.
Marcia Neudeck (née Wedin)

July 24, 1953 - August 8, 2025

The world became a little less colorful, crafty, and outspoken on August 8, 2025, when Marcia Neudeck, 72, of Oakdale, Minnesota, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Minneapolis on July 24, 1953, to Florence and Norman Wedin, Marcia was a force of nature packed into 5'2". She was the definition of do-it-yourself independence-there was no project she wouldn't tackle, no challenge she wouldn't take on. If she saw something she liked, she'd figure out how it was made, improve it, and probably bring one for everyone at the next family function.

A gifted artist and craftswoman, Marcia could sew, crochet, design hats and bags, and whip up a Halloween costume that made her grandchildren, Ruby and Henry, the envy of the neighborhood. She had the greenest thumb in town - tomatoes grew in her yard like weeds - and her gardens were a sanctuary for flowers, vegetables, birds, and the hummingbirds she loved to watch from her window.

Marcia worked as an administrative assistant, retiring from 3M in 2016. She and her husband, Tim, shared a love for riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles across the open road until health challenges forced them to hang up their helmets.

She was also deeply engaged in politics and never shy about speaking her mind. A proud and dedicated Democrat, Marcia's sense of humor never wavered-even in her last days, she joked from her hospital bed that she'd "come back and haunt Trump."

Marcia is survived by her husband, Tim; daughter, Jill (Andre); grandchildren, Ruby and Henry; siblings Marge (Arlen), Jim (Gail), Norma Jean (Jim), and sister-in-law Noreen, her five beloved dogs-Macy, Cooper, Becket, Rooney, and Busy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Marilou, Greg, and Gordon; and nephews Nathan and Kim.

A celebration of Marcia's life will be held on October 4th, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:00 PM at the North St. Paul American Legion. All who knew and loved Marcia will be welcome to attend and share memories.

Tim, Jill, and family...
We are so sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing her in the yard taking care of the flowers she loved so much. The neighborhood won´t be the same without her, she was a special person. If you need anything, please let us know
