And Elizabeth G?mez McDonald of Medford where Marie spent her last days surrounded by love. Dear grandmother of Bella McDonald, Ricky G?mez McDonald, Nico McDonald, Lina G?mez McDonald, Chris G?mez McDonald and Joao Victor Azevedo, sister of the late Dorothy Boyd, Jean Luhrs and Susan Francis; niece of the late Sister Concepta of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Daughter of the late Robert Francis and the late Mary Francis (Kelleher), also survived by sisters-in-law Kathy and Dan Abbott and Karen and Fran Sicotte, nieces and nephews and friends. Former mother-in-law of Richard G?mez. Marie was a long time Boston Public Schools teacher.
She taught First Grade and Special Education at the Harvard Kent School in Charlestown and Special Education at the Faulkner School in Hyde Park. Marie retired to Dennis in 2005, where she enjoyed socializing with her friends from the New Boston neighborhood. Marie dedicated her life to education and continued to advocate for children during her retirement.
Marie's Wake will be held at Dello Russo Funeral Home (306 Main St, Medford, MA 02155) Thursday 29th June 2023 from 10 AM to 12 PM, followed by a celebration of life at 12 PM. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, (Rt 134) 120 Theophilus Smith Rd, Dennis, MA, on Friday, June 30th at 9 AM. Please meet at the main cemetery gate. Memorial donations would be appreciated to the School Sisters of Notre Dame at https://atlanticmidwest.org/give. To leave a message of condolence please visit www.dellorusso.net

So very sorry for your loss. She is a great person to talk to. We shared our mutual love of mystery books each time I saw her. She will be greatly missed.
