Mark Hanson Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 25 to Mar. 27, 2024.
Denver Colorado - Mark Sterling Hanson, age 64, born November 25, 1959.

Mark Passed away peacefully on March 17th in Denver Colorado. He was born in Florence, Arizona to Bonnye Carolyn McFarland and Phillip Charles Hanson. He was close to his dear Grandparents, Carl and Louise McFarland until their deaths. Though a native of Arizona and loved his ties there, he loved beautiful Colorado during the last years of his life.

Mark attended both ASU and the University of Arizona. While in Arizona he was involved in the home building industry which he thoroughly enjoyed. He also helped manage a large inherited cotton farm, assisting his mother for many years, for which she was eternally grateful. He had a quick wit and sense of humor which put everyone to ease. He was truly kind and thoughtful with those he encountered in his life. His true passion, however, was his love for his two children, Adam Hanson (Tara) of Dallas, Texas and Lindsey Aboud (Alex) of Denver, Colorado as well as his two grandchildren. He would do anything he possibly could to make their lives better. He is also survived by his mother Bonnye McFarland and cousins, Kimberly Lipchak of Chandler, Arizona, Susan O'Neill of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Brock Bean of Valley Farms, Arizona. He was predeceased by his father Phillip Hanson and his brother Stuart Hanson.

A celebration of Life has been held in Denver and a private service and internment will be help for him in Phoenix at a later date where he will rest with others of the McFarland Family including his brother, grandparents, and other family members.

Rest in peace, Mark. You have made all our lives richer and happier because of your presence.
