Oxnard, CA
Marta Dyer 78, of Oxnard, CA passed away on August 14 at her home. Marta was born in Pecs, Hungary. She greatly valued freedom and liberty. At the age of 16 she bravely escaped communist Hungary and eventually made her way to the USA. She enjoyed Social Media and being on the board of her retirement community. Marta is survived by her children, Karl Dyer, Agi Purse, Mark Kitzie, and Gary Winuk; her grandchildren Heather Sanford, Bryan Dyer, Renee Dyer, Vanessa Kitzie, Klint Dyer, Marielle Winuk, Garrett Winuk and Cady Winuk and her great grandchild Nevaeh Dyer. In Leu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders.
Marta was courageous and brave in the face of cancer. Despite the difficulties of the illness and treatment she never once complained. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone and was always positive. Marta lived out her days on her own terms. She was one of a kind and will be missed

Marta was my first Hungarian friend in the US. We even lived side by side for few years.
I will miss going out to eat with her, our last outing was 3 weeks ago for her Birthday.
I will miss you dearly my friend, rest in peace.
