Martin Ruiz Obituary
Martin Ruiz went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 4, 2017 at the age of 56 years. He was a spectacular dancer, specifically country music dancing. Marty loved to fish and was an avid sports fan, with the Dallas Cowboys being his favorite. He enjoyed watching Old Western Movies, playing golf, and taking trips to gamble. Marty was a perfectionist when it came to carpentry work. He was a 1979 graduate of John Marshall High School and worked for Capitol Cement for 22 years. Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Valentin and Yolanda Ruiz and his beloved mother-in-law, Ann Selvidge. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Traci; brothers, Valentin (Debbie) Ruiz, Michael (Arlene) Ruiz, Victor Ruiz, Carlos (Cecilia) Ruiz, Joe (Olga) Ruiz; sisters, Mary Ann (Steven) Salas and Debra Ann Ruiz; sister-in-law, Judi Dye; brother-in-law, Michael (Sandy) Selvidge; also numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Saturday, September 9th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11th at Bradshaw Ceme tery in Bradshaw, TX. My complete condolences go out to you and the Ruiz family for y'alls loss. Marty was such a gentle soul, we first met when he was working for Alcoa sooo many years ago. We enjoyed many talks about life, work,family issues etc on the back of a tailgate. The things he made clear was you were his first priority! Oh my how he loved you so much!! Your so blessed to be loved by a person that placed his wife first! So many don't ever feel love to that degree. Time and prayer will heal your pain, we don't ever forget our loved ones because in our memory they last forever. We have a saying in our family... that's not a Marty tie down. GOD will heal your pain.

Marty was one of the most special personal friends we've had the pleasure to be part of our lives, so very kind and caring. He loved Traci and his family very much. Marty had the most beautiful smile and the best laugh ever, a true gentleman. We are so honored to have known him and call him our friend for so many years, we will treasure all the memories and great times we spent together. It was always fun to watch Marty and Traci dance together, always with a smile and love for each other.
Rest in Peace sweet Marty, you will be missed but never forgotten.
