Mary Brantley Obituary
Mary "Pete" Elizabeth Brantley, age 77, left us to be with her heavenly Father and loved ones gone before her on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Born in Wilson County on September 16, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Jessie James Brantley and Helen Sallie King Brantley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Steven Brantley.
She leaves behind her loving sister and caregiver, Virginia Murray of the home; five brothers, Richard Brantley and wife Joyce of Smithfield VA, Edward Brantley and wife Louise of Chesapeake VA, William Brantley and wife Joan of Rocky Mount, Jimmy Brantley and wife Sue of Rocky Mount, and Phil Brantley and wife Denise of Bailey; special aunt, Eva King of Rocky Mount; and numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and very special cousins.
A service to remember Pete will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, November 30, 2012 at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Pridgen officiating. Visitation with the family will begin at 12:30p.m. to 1:45p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Wilson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Community Hospice, P.O. Box 8109, Rocky Mount NC 27804.

To the Brantley Family - May God comfort you at this time. May you find peace in knowing Pete has been reunited with Granny and Granddaddy and can see you clearly from Heaven. When your next birthday rolls around, look toward Heaven and know Pete still remembers and is sending you love from above.

Another soldier in the army of GOD has laid her armor down, her battle won and now stands at the feet of JESUS and hearing these words: "Well done, good and faithful servant." I know you are having the time of your life with the giver of life at this moment. I am looking forward to the Grand Reunion Day. What a day that will be. To my cousins in the Brantley family that are left behind, I love you and pray GOD's best and richest blessings will always come your way.
