Mary Dark Obituary

ARLINGTON - Mary Reynolds Chaney Dark, age 95, Arlington, formerly of Troup and Henderson, a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend, passed from complications of pneumonia on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, while surrounded by her family.

Graveside services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the Bradford Cemetery in Troup with the Rev. Tommy Harden officiating under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mary, one of seven daughters, was born on Aug. 7, 1912, in Troup to the late J.P. and Fannie Reynolds.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henderson.

Her husband, Bill Chaney, and her second husband, Robert S. Dark, preceded her in death.

She is survived by children, Bill Chaney and wife Joann of Allegan, Mich., Eddie Chaney York and husband David of Denver, Colo., and Elaine Hughes Field and husband Joe of Arlington; grandchildren, Bill, Brandon, Carey, Kris and Ken; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cole, Dylan, Quinn, Ryder, Kendall, Zachary, Maggie, Abagail, Madisyn, Cara, Amy, Austin and Aspen Michelle.

The family will receive friends at the Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24.
