Mary Dinucci

Mary Tampa, Florida Dinucci Mary Alice Dinucci, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on March 31st, 2023 at the age of 79, at her home in Odessa, Florida.

Mary was born on June 12th, 1943 to the late Fred and Marion Leigh and was raised in Cranston, Rhode Island. She was the oldest of four children who all enjoyed singing songs together in their music room at home. She graduated from Cranston High School in 1961 as a National Honor Scholar. She later went on to earn her associate's Degree in Business from Indiana University in 1995 while working full-time and raising her children.

Mary met her husband Raymond Dinucci on a blind date arranged by her hairdresser, Raymond's Auntie Anna. They were married in 1962 and eventually settled on a farm in Columbus, Indiana where they raised their 5 children. They remained in Indiana until they retired in 2003 and moved to Anna Maria Island to be closer to their children. Mary was the love of Ray's life and he was by her side caring for her every day over the past decade as her Alzheimer's disease progressed.

Mary was a devoted mother and wife who always put her family first. She considered her 5 children and her 10 grandchildren her greatest blessings in life, and the strong bonds and relationships they share are her legacy. In 2022, Mary was surrounded by her children and grandchildren when she and Ray celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

In addition to being a spouse and mother, she held a full-time job most of her life, eventually being promoted to International Sales Administrator at Cosco in Columbus, Indiana. Her staff and customers loved her.

She was an extremely devoted Christian and her faith in God was the core of who she was. She attended White Creek United Methodist church for many years where she enjoyed singing in the choir and making lifelong friends.

She enjoyed making handmade greeting cards with her extensive rubber stamp collection, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was known as one of the kindest, most considerate, and loving people and was always willing to help others. Over the years, she sent 100 packs of handmade greeting cards to soldiers so they could keep in touch with loved ones back home in a special way.

Mary is survived by her husband Raymond; her children Nancy, John, Stacy, Marcy (Jeff), and Tracy (Michael); sisters Liz and Martha, and brother Bill; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Mary's memory.
