Mary Gillette Obituary
Mary leaves her son Alan Gillette and his wife Kim, her granddaughters Christina Flaherty and Jamie Thompson, great grandchildren Shea and Owen and her niece Barbara, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Joseph Amenta, mother Rose, husband Robert, daughter Linda Thompson, and sister Margaret Richardone and nephew Joe.
She graduated from Gilbert High School. She married Robert, and lived in Winsted CT her entire life. Her son, grandchildren, niece and friends remember her as a kind, loving, strong person who was always involved in their lives. She always stepped up to help others and she was a great friend to all who knew her. She loved cooking and taking care of her family. She cared deeply for the people around her and made an impact on many lives. She will be greatly missed.
Mary was passionate about country music, visiting with her friends and family, watching Red Sox baseball games, and her beloved cat Sugar. She was a real estate broker and worked for The Amenta Agency for many years.
A remembrance will be scheduled at a later date. The family would like to thank Helping Hands for their support. Donations in memory of Mary can be made to Helping Hands in Winsted.

Christina and family, we are so sorry to hear of your dear grandmothers passing.She was such a nice lady. In fact we remember the time she gave us a standing swimming pool she no longer wanted. It was our first pool. My God give you comfort in this time of sorrow.
